This webinar is an up-to-date exploration of alcohol, vaping, nicotine, and marijuana’s effect on the developing adolescent brain. We explore the unique risks of these substances in adolescents as well as the rapidly evolving landscape of how adolescents consume substances. A brief review of major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder during adolescence is included. The vicious cycle of depression and/or anxiety being briefly relieved by substances that go on to worsen depression/anxiety is explored.
