As you work your program, we assist with the continuity of care recommended by your clinical therapist or health professional.  A Fresh Start is a community of your peers. We work with men and women seeking assistance in early recovery, who are serious about their sobriety, who wish to surround themselves with others with like-wise goals, and who want success in recovery.

Since 1975, PEER Services has provided community-based substance abuse prevention and treatment services to the residents of northern Cook County. Our mission is to prevent and treat the problems that substance abuse causes individuals, families and our communities. We are dedicated to our community and committed to providing high-quality, affordable treatment and services to all in need. We do not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay!

Our array of services has expanded over the years to respond to changing community needs. We serve adolescents, young adults, adults and older adults. Our services include outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, specialized treatment for opioid use disorder, early intervention, DUI Risk Education, and prevention consultation to schools and communities. We are licensed for substance use disorder treatment by the Illinois Department of Human Services and accredited by the Joint Commission.
