Dr. Nicole Bishop serves as Clinical Director at SunCloud Health.
Dr. Bishop is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University. She has extensive experience in treating clients who have a history of trauma/complex trauma, substance use diagnoses and co-occurring disorders.
Prior to working at SunCloud Health, Dr. Bishop was the Director of Clinical Services at A Safe Haven Foundation a transitional living/treatment/recovery home. She has also worked in forensic settings, day programs, and academic settings. She has experience in running a private practice and conducting international work. One of Dr. Bishop’s passion’s is working to develop clients and professionals towards becoming their most authentic self in a manner that will enhance the health of a community and a team.
Dr. Bishop has substantial knowledge and skill in the area of research and consultation. She has conducted both quantitative and qualitative research in the domains of domestic violence, gender studies, program evaluations, and social justice related topics. She also co-developed a curriculum aimed at addressing structural violence known as Youth Peace Ambassadors in Motion (YPAM). Dr. Bishop has provided consultation and training services to organizations such as the United Nations Higher Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), National Office of Refugee (NOR), Heartland Alliance International, and The Support Group. Overall, Dr. Bishop sees people as humans first and believes every individual has a unique path towards their journey of healing and recovery.
