At SunCloud Health, our Summer 2026 Adolescent Program offers two flexible options to support teens during a season when routines often shift. Families can choose between our structured day programs (PHP/IOP), now with summer hours and added experiential therapy in place of academic support, or flexible virtual outpatient groups open to any teen seeking extra support, not just those in PHP or IOP. With both structured and standalone options available, we’re able to meet a wide range of clinical and scheduling needs.
Not sure which option is right for your teen? Contact our team to learn more and find the best fit.
In addition to our PHP and IOP offerings, SunCloud Health is launching a series of virtual outpatient groups to support adolescents over the summer.
Overview
Cost: Insurance-based or $50 out-of-pocket (Yoga Group is self pay only)
We understand that summer schedules can vary. Our updated structure from June 8, 2026 to July 31, 2026 allows for both consistency and flexibility when clinically appropriate.
To better align with summer needs, the traditional academic hour will be replaced with mindfulness and adventure-based therapy. These sessions will take place outdoors when possible and incorporate movement, experiential learning, and nervous system regulation. Each program site has accessible outdoor areas within walking distance.
This outpatient process group is designed to provide a safe, affirming, and supportive space for adolescents who identify as LGBTQIA+. The group offers an opportunity for participants to explore identity, build self-acceptance, and process shared experiences related to gender identity, sexual orientation, relationships, family dynamics, and social challenges. Through guided discussion and peer connection, members are encouraged to express themselves openly, develop healthy coping skills, and strengthen resilience in the face of stigma, discrimination, or internalized stress. The group emphasizes respect, confidentiality, and inclusivity, fostering a sense of belonging and community. This group is appropriate for adolescents seeking connection, validation, and personal growth within an affirming therapeutic environment.
This outpatient process group is designed for adolescents who are experiencing challenges related to substance use. The group provides a structured, supportive environment where participants can openly discuss their experiences, increase insight into their substance use, and build motivation for change. Through guided peer discussion, members explore topics such as triggers, cravings, peer influence, family dynamics, emotional regulation, and the impact of substance use on mental health, relationships, and daily functioning. The group emphasizes accountability, honesty, and mutual support, helping adolescents feel less isolated in their experiences. This group supports adolescents in strengthening resilience, improving self-awareness, and working toward harm reduction or sustained recovery goals within a safe and nonjudgmental environment.
This outpatient yoga therapy group is designed to support adolescents in developing mind-body awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy coping skills through movement and mindfulness practices. The group integrates trauma-informed yoga, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to help participants manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges. Sessions include gentle physical postures, guided breathing, and mindfulness activities that encourage participants to connect with their bodies in a safe and nonjudgmental way. No prior yoga experience is required, and all activities are adapted to be developmentally appropriate and accessible to varying comfort and ability levels. In addition to movement-based practices, the group incorporates brief processing and reflection to help adolescents build insight into how their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are connected. Participants are supported in using these skills to improve self-regulation, increase body awareness, and enhance overall well-being. The group emphasizes choice, safety, and respect, creating an inclusive environment where adolescents can build confidence, reduce stress, and develop practical tools for daily life.
This outpatient process group is designed to provide a supportive and structured space for adolescents who identify as male to explore personal experiences, emotions, and challenges unique to their development. The group fosters open discussion around topics such as identity, masculinity, peer relationships, family dynamics, emotional expression, and social pressures. Participants are encouraged to share experiences, build insight, and develop healthier ways of coping with stress, anger, and other difficult emotions. The group emphasizes breaking down stigma related to emotional vulnerability and supports adolescents in expanding their ability to communicate effectively and authentically. Through guided peer interaction, members work on building self-awareness, improving interpersonal skills, and increasing accountability. The group promotes respect, inclusivity, and confidentiality, creating a safe environment where adolescents can feel understood, build connection, and strengthen resilience.
This outpatient group is designed to help adolescents build practical skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce impulsive or self-destructive behaviors. Grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, the group focuses on teaching and practicing four core skill areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Participants will learn how to increase awareness of their thoughts and feelings, cope with stress in healthy ways, regulate emotional responses, and communicate more effectively with peers, family members, and other supports. The group incorporates structured skill-building activities, guided discussions, and real-life application of DBT techniques. This group is appropriate for adolescents experiencing challenges such as mood instability, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, and difficulty managing impulses. A supportive and nonjudgmental environment is emphasized, encouraging peer connection, validation, and accountability.
This outpatient group is designed to support adolescents in developing essential executive functioning skills necessary for success in school, relationships, and daily life. Executive functioning refers to a set of cognitive processes—including planning, organization, time management, emotional control, and task initiation—that help individuals manage responsibilities and achieve goals. Group sessions focus on building practical strategies to improve organization, prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and follow through on responsibilities. Adolescents will learn tools to reduce procrastination, increase motivation, and strengthen problem-solving and decision-making skills. The group also addresses challenges related to attention, impulse control, and emotional regulation that may interfere with functioning at home, school, or in social settings. Sessions incorporate interactive activities, skill-building exercises, and real-life application to help participants practice and generalize new skills. A supportive, structured environment encourages accountability, peer feedback, and the development of healthy routines. This group is appropriate for adolescents experiencing difficulties with organization, academic performance, attention, or completing daily tasks, including those with symptoms related to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety, or mood-related concerns.
This outpatient therapy group utilizes principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support adolescents and young adults in navigating the emotional, academic, and social challenges associated with preparing for college. The group focuses on increasing psychological flexibility, helping participants clarify personal values related to education, independence, relationships, and future goals. Through experiential exercises, mindfulness practices, and group discussion, participants learn to manage anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, and avoidance behaviors that may interfere with the college preparation process. Skills include cognitive diffusion, acceptance of difficult thoughts and emotions, present-moment awareness, and committed action aligned with values. Group members are supported in building effective coping strategies for transitions, enhancing executive functioning and decision-making skills, and increasing confidence in their ability to navigate applications, academic expectations, and the transition to greater independence. The group also fosters peer connection, normalization of shared stressors, and development of a values-driven approach to goal setting and future planning.
