Dr. Yae Rim Lee is a board-certified psychiatrist, treating both adults and adolescents. She completed her general psychiatry training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals in Springfield, Illinois. She served as a chief resident during residency and graduated with multiple awards for outstanding academic performance and psychotherapy achievement.
Before joining SunCloud Health, Dr. Lee founded a much-needed opioid addiction treatment program in central Illinois. She also spent time working in a private practice.
Dr. Lee believes in taking a holistic approach to each patient and learning about them as individual human beings. She respects patients’ right to information and treatment decisions and practices a shared decision-making model. It is a privilege to be part of the recovery journey of her patients.
In Dr. Lee’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, playing the piano, and is also fluent in Korean.
