I am a licensed clinical therapist who has worked with the teen population for over 20 years. In my position at SunCloud, I pride myself on developing excellent communication and relationships with our patients, families, outside therapists, and the patient’s school to ensure that every teen and their families feel safe and supported as they return to the school setting after their treatment in PHP, and continuing on through IOP. It can be a stressful time for the teen and their families and worrying about school issues can compound that. From the moment a teen walks through our doors at SunCloud Health, I begin to communicate with the family and school to create a social emotional and educational plan that will help the teen to reduce anxiety around school related stressors and to feel fully supported as they transition back into their school.
