Sonja has a vast medical background. She worked at Rush University for 10 years, in various areas specializing in Neurology with a focus on stroke and epilepsy, worked for 4 years with Multiple Sclerosis patients, involving a worldwide drug study. Sonja completed her journey at Rush university working with the Chief of Surgery and his team. At Shriner’s Hospital, she was involved in Pediatric Intensive Care with a focus on spinal/neurological procedures and at Dreyer Medical Clinic she opened the new Family Practice Offices, Managing the Department. Sonja has 6 years of experience as Manager of the Ortho / Neuro unit, Acute Detox, Med Surgical and Oncology units at Mercy Medical Center. Prior to joining The SunCloud Health team, Sonja was the Director of Nursing at Timberline Knolls for over 6 years.
Sonja received her education in Nursing and Bachelor’s Degree from the College of DuPage and Northwestern University, She continues to be both Chemo Certified, Neuro Certified and Stroke Certified.
Sonja is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
