Jessica Kush, LCPC, RYT-200, TCTSY-F

Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with just over 5+ years of experience working with clients whom struggle with co-occurring Mood, Anxiety, Eating, Personality, and Trauma (Developmental, Complex). Her experience includes varied practice in multiple levels of care including Partial Hospitalization, Community Mental Health, and Private Practice settings.  Jessica completed her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL where she specialized in working with both adult and adolescent populations.

Jessica’s career began in community mental health as a counselor and advocate performing individual, family, and group therapy to children and adult survivors of Domestic Violence at Guardian Angel Community Services (Joliet, IL). Through these initial experiences, she developed a passion for working with folks impacted by trauma, neglect, and abuse as well as developmental and complex traumas.

Jessica is presently trained in three evidenced-based practices as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing via EMDR Consulting and Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga via the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at the Justice Resource Institute. Her therapeutic approach focuses on the use of person-centered, somatic, and behavioral psychotherapies to help integrate the mind and body in understanding how past life experiences can affect present behavior, coping styles, and life choices. Jessica also utilizes a variety of theoretical approaches (ACT, CBT, DBT) to help clients thrive and build a meaningful life for themselves.
