Presented by:Guido Frank, MD
Dr. Guido Frank is a board-certified psychiatrist and internationally recognized researcher specializing in child, adolescent, and adult eating disorders. Currently a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego, and affiliated with Rady Children’s Hospital, Dr. Frank’s work explores the neurobiology of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. His research integrates advanced neuroimaging, computational modeling, and clinical studies to better understand how brain circuits influence appetite, reward, and behavior. A graduate of Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany, Dr. Frank completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Pittsburgh and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UC San Diego. His recent studies also examine metabolic and nutritional interventions, including ketogenic nutrition, as potential treatments for anorexia nervosa.
