Helping adolescents find their voice

Guest post by Natalie Haines, LPC, Treatment Coordinator at SunCloud Health

I recently joined the team at SunCloud Health as a Treatment Coordinator. I was brought on to help begin the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program, and I could not be more excited to have this program begin. I have a large background servicing adolescents at the PHP and IOP levels of care, and I enjoy working with this age group. Being able to be part of program development is exciting, and a new experience I am happy to be asked to be part of.

When working with adolescents, I have learned that helping them find their voice is important to their development. This has been kept in mind when developing curriculum and establishing the space for programming. It has been a great experience being able to bring my knowledge from previous programs to help make SunCloud Health Adolescent PHP the most effective program it can be. Being part of a team that is passionate about helping others has been amazing to experience. I have learned a lot from the professionals here at SunCloud, and I hope our passion is shown through our new program.

Overall, this experience has been fruitful and thought-provoking. I am excited for our Adolescent PHP to open, and hopeful that we are bringing a helpful service to the community. Being able to provide support to this age group has always been of high importance to me. Having been given the chance to develop a treatment program for them has been one of the highlights of my career, and I cannot wait to bring this program to the community.
