SunCloud Health welcomes Michelle as the new Site Director for our Chicago (Lincoln Park) Treatment Center. Prior to joining SunCloud Health, Michelle worked in various roles including overseeing residential, outpatient, interim housing, harm reduction, veterans, recovery homes, and methadone treatment programs. Michelle believes strongly in the use of individualized, evidence-based, and holistic approaches to treating both substance use and mental health conditions to address the many components of wellness and recovery. She strives to create a safe, non-judgmental, genuine, and collaborative relationship with every client she works with. Michelle holds an M.S. in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from Illinois State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) in the state of Illinois. In her free time, Michelle enjoys traveling internationally, spending time with friends and family, and going on adventures with her Sheepadoodle pup.
Michelle hopes to impact clients and staff by meeting each individual where they are at and providing support, intervention, and guidance in a safe space. She believes that staff can grow best under leadership that is built on mutual trust and respect. Michelle believes strongly in the power of establishing a therapeutic alliance with patients and encouraging individuals to be involved in their treatment process.
