Steve has a BA in Biblical studies, a Masters in Teaching from Olivet Nazarene University and an MA in Community Counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
Much of his work as a therapist has been in residential working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
He is very trauma aware in his approach to supporting his patients.
Steve has worked extensively with substance abuse and eating disorders, as well.
Steve’s career began in his 20’s as a young clergyman. and through the years had the opportunity to develop a number of skills and to discover a giftedness and passion for counseling, supervision, and teaching.
Comfortable whether providing direct service with individuals in a one-on-one setting, guiding a team, or addressing a large crowd.

As a counselor, supervisor, college instructor, pastor, principal, or university department administrator Steve has been able to offer empathy, good counsel, and encouragement on a number of levels.
