Melissa is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in marketing, sales and business development. Melissa’s expertise is developing relationships and developing marketing strategies in a variety of industries, including the Eating Disorder, Substance Use, and Behavioral Healthcare field. She excels in project management, growing brand awareness, and client advocacy.
Melissa received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Kansas and is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Illinois. Currently, she serves on the board of the Women’s Association of Addiction Treatment (WAAT) and Serenity Academy. Melissa is also a speaker and presents on eating disorders to high schools and universities.
Melissa’s personal journey overcoming substances and an eating disorder fuels her passion to help others find recovery. She is collaborative, supportive and uses her experience to connect authentically in her relationships. Melissa is committed to serving the addictions population and mentoring women in the community.
In her free time, Melissa’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her nieces and nephew, family and friends, followed by keeping up with the latest Netflix/Amazon Prime trends, staying active, listening to audio-books, baking and crafting.
