Kim Cimino, LMFT is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience working with patients with addictions, eating disorders, co-occurring mood disorders, PTSD and complicated grief. Kim brings with her experience working in residential treatment programs, PHP, IOP, hospitals and community outreach organizations.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor in Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She also has a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from Northwestern University.
Kim started her career as a therapist performing individual, family and group therapy to children and adults involved in the foster care system. Doing this work, Kim developed a passion for working with people impacted by trauma, neglect and abuse. Kim went on to work at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital where she provided support and outreach for parents who had babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She worked as a Family Therapist and furthered her belief in the importance of providing healing opportunities to family systems impacted by addiction and trauma. For the past several years, Kim has maintained a private practice working with both adolescents and adults and continued to place emphasis on treating families.
